Coast Guard R. Admiral Gives BP 48 Hours to Identify Leak Containment Capacity

Follow up to postings on the Gulf Coast oil spill, on June 12, 2010 U.S. Coast Guard Rear Admiral James Watson sent a letter to BP’s COO directing the company to “identify in the next 48 hours additional leak containment capacity that could be operational and expedited to avoid the continued discharge of oil from the Macado 252 well into the Gulf with expanded redundancy.”
