Council of State Governments Establishes Justice Center

by Sabrina I. Pacifici on December 7, 2006

Press release: “The Council of State Governments (CSG) announced Monday the creation of its Justice Center — a national resource center on criminal justice policy. Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas, CSG president, joined the organization’s Governing Board in voting to transform the Eastern Regional Conference’s Criminal Justice Program into a new center that will continue to develop nonpartisan, consensus-driven strategies to address complex public safety problems. These strategies will be grounded in research and make efficient use of state and local resources.”
