On April 3 I posted on the topic of legislation under consideration in 22 states (and D.C.) to restrict public access to government documents that were deemed to be associated with homeland security. As a follow-up, the Gov. Warner of Virginia has signed two bills, the Sensitive Records Protection Act (HB 2210) and the Freedom of Information Act; critical infrastructure and vulnerability assessments (HB 2211), that implement further restrictions on access to information about “critical infrastructures” that originates from both the public and private sectors.
