House Judiciary Reports Contempt Citations to the House of Representatives

Press release: “Today, the House Judiciary Committee sent a report and resolution to the House of Representatives finding former White House Counsel Harriet Miers and White House Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten in statutory contempt of Congress for failing to respond to the Committee’s subpoenas in the U.S. Attorney investigation. The report passed by a vote of 22-17…The full House of Representatives is now required to vote on a contempt resolution before the matter is sent to the District of Columbia’s U.S. Attorney for action.
