Internet's Impact on American Students Examined in Education Dept. Report
From the Department of Education, the National Education Technology Plan report, Toward a New Golden Age in American Education: How the Internet, the Law and Today's Students are Revolutionizing Expectation:
"Over the past 10 years, 99 percent of our schools have been connected to the Internet with a 5:1 student to computer ratio," but the following key areas were highlighted as requiring improvement: leadership, budgeting, teacher training, e-learning and virtual schools, broadband access, moving toward digital content, and integrating data systems.
