P2P File Sharing on Campuses

The Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet, and Intellectual Property held an oversight hearing on “Peer-to-Peer Piracy On University Campuses,” February 26, 2003. According to Rosen’s testimony, “More than 2.6 billion music files are illegally downloaded every month on unauthorized P2P systems. Of this number, a significant percentage of the transfers occur over campus networks.”
