REAL ID faces considerable opposition by the public, the States and in Congress. More than 60 organizations and 215 blogs joined a campaign against the national identification system. Washington (pdf) and Montana (pdf) have opt-outed of REAL ID completely. Arkansas (pdf), Colorado (pdf), Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, and North Dakota have passed resolutions opposing REAL ID.”
