After a brief introduction to consumer legislation within the European Union, these techniques will be examined in turn, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages. This paper ends analyzing the contribution of the European Union consumer protection directives, and the techniques employed as a whole in order to determine whether they are effective in protecting the consumer in the single market.”
