Over the past year, almost 5,000 arrests were made and more than $30 million in criminal fines, restitutions and civil judgments acquired from worksite enforcement. Use of E-Verify, a Web-based system that electronically verifies newly hired employees’ employment eligibility, is growing by roughly 83 percent annually.”
