Senator Demands Clarification on Use of Warrantless Domestic Surveillance

Follow-up to April 6, 2006 posting, AG’s Statements to House Judiciary Cmte. Maintain Authority of Domestic Surveillance, this letter today from Sen. Barbara Boxer to AG Gonzales: “I am deeply concerned with your recent testimony before the House Judiciary Committee in which you suggested that the President has the authority to wiretap conversations between Americans on U.S. soil without a warrant.”
