James R. Jacobs: “Just wanted to let you know that End of Term Archive is in the middle of harvesting the ERIC database. We’ve currently collected 24000 PDF files discoverable via Full Text Search (going on 500,000+… should be done later today) from Wayback Machine archives of ERIC. There’s a collection search where you can choose to search Eric.ed.gov collection and do full-text searching (you can also search all of the EOT archives and we’ve also extracted out all the .gov PDFs and made them a separate collection!). The harvest and indexing are not yet complete, but the search is working. I’ve asked IA folks to add a facet for ED and EJ #s (ERIC documents and ERIC journals are the 2 major number systems in the database).
