Archive for Voice and Silence, a website that uses AI to track and map protests and activist movements around the world. The goal is to provide a clean, visual representation of these events for researchersA non-profit project mapping protests and civic actions globally. We aggregate publicly reported events to help researchers, journalists and communities understand patterns of civic voice. This application has been created by Alessandro Saccoia (mindmaker.it · Linkedin). Contributions are welcome. Let me know if you find this useful. Uses the Thembi API for event retrieval, classification and geocoding. Map visualization powered by Kepler.gl, an open-source geospatial analysis tool. Daily data files are available at GitHub under an open-source MIT license. Get in touch for feature requests or for real-time API access.
