Gonzales at the Jag Corps Leadership Summit, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, October 23, 2006: “This new law [the Military Commissions Act of 2006] provides for full and fair military trials of captured terrorists; reinforces and clarifies our obligations under the Geneva Conventions; and buttresses our ability to gather vital intelligence to disrupt future terrorist attacks.”
