“Report reviews proven methods to improve insurance enrollment in eight states. Since 2009, eight states have pursued unique approaches toward improving health insurance enrollment by giving people faster access to coverage and more options to remain covered. This report highlights the innovative approaches the states are taking to streamline eligibility determinations and boost enrollment in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The eight states reviewed in the study are: Alabama, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New York, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin.
