For reference Executive Order, PROTECTING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AGAINST INVASION, January 25, 2025, established the Homeland Security Task Force: “…Sec. 6. Federal Homeland Security Task Forces. (a) The Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall take all appropriate action to jointly establish Homeland Security Task Forces (HSTFs) in all States nationwide. (b) The composition of each HSTF shall be subject to the direction of the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security, but shall include representation from any other Federal agencies with law enforcement officers, or agencies with the ability to provide logistics, intelligence, and operational support to the HSTFs, and shall also include representation from relevant State and local law enforcement agencies. The heads of all Federal agencies shall take all appropriate action to provide support to the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security to ensure that the HSTFs fulfill the objectives in subsection (c) of this section, and any other lawful purpose that fulfills the policy objectives of this order.
Hoodline: “The federal government has quietly flipped the switch on a new Homeland Security Task Force website, putting a national map of regional HSTFs and a central coordination hub near Washington online for the first time. The site, hosted at hstf.gov, lays out the interagency initiative co led by the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations and highlights its mission against cartels, transnational gangs, human trafficking, and other cross border crime. The rollout follows a year of local HSTF launches and comes as the administration leans on high profile cartel designations and expanded law enforcement authorities. The first official word came in a brief social media post from FBI Sacramento on X, which flagged the new site and noted that the task force has embedded personnel and resources across the country. The post linked directly to hstf.gov and described the effort as co led by HSI and the FBI, effectively serving as the public’s initial pointer to the online hub ahead of broader agency briefings…”
The homepage of the new Homeland Security Task Force is dystopian, militaristic, dark and threatening – declaring in bold text – “We don’t negotiate. We dismantle. The threat doesn’t respect borders. The response has to match it. Cartels move across borders. They exploit gaps between agencies. They operate at a scale no single law enforcement body can handle alone. The Task Force was built to close those gaps — permanently” The site is designed by , which bears a .gov url. This is a propaganda machine operating under the auspices of a legitimate government organization, created by Executive Order. There is considerable concern respective to the HSTF’s actual objectives: “Amid U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to crack down on drug smuggling across the country’s southern border, news outlets reported that his administration made a deal with 17 cartel family members allowing them to enter the United States, according to a Mexican security chief…” This story never percolated after initial reports. Where are the 17 cartel family members now?
