House Intel Report on Al Qaeda and Terrorism

House Intelligence Committee Releases Report on al-Qaeda: “The report addresses how five years after 9-11 al-Qaeda and other radical Islamist organizations remain determined to carry out attacks against the United States, our allies and U.S. interests abroad.”

Jane Harman (D-Venice), Ranking Member on the House Intelligence Committee, today released the following statement regarding declassified “key points” from the National Ground Intelligence Center report on Iraq WMD: “There is nothing new here. Nothing in this report, classified or otherwise, contradicts the Duelfer Report, which assessed that we would find degraded pre-1991 weaponry in Iraq. “When the intelligence community disseminated classified intelligence conclusively establishing that one of the Vice President’s much-touted justifications for war was blatantly wrong, my request to declassify that information was denied.”
